Job summary

Grand River Health Main Campus in Rifle, Colorado is seeking an Emergency Department Tech for PRN, rotating shifts. You will obtain patient vitals, transport and prepare patients, and assist in patient care workflow, communicating with the Emergency Department team and other departments.

The ideal candidate has training as a Paramedic, EMT, Medical Assistant, or Certified Nurse Assistant, and must hold a current BLS certification. Flexible scheduling and various perks are offered.

Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Experience in a similar role preferred (minimum 6 months).

What You’ll Do

• Obtain patient vitals, EKG, orders, and labs; start IVs; assist with patient care workflow.
• Transport and room patients; answer phones and emails.
• Communicate efficiently with Emergency Department members and other departments, hospitals, dispatch, etc.
• Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

• Training in any and/or all of the following classes: Paramedic, basic EMT training, Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant.
• Must have current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
• A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role is preferred.

• Pay Range: $20.43 - $29.76/hour (based on experience)
• Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends
• PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary
