Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our care team and deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for diverse patient populations.

The RN will collaborate with the care team, educate patients and families about discharge and community services, and participate in ongoing education and quality improvement activities to uphold Mount Auburn Hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
• License Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required; ACLS required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Assess health care needs for the care plan and implement and evaluate it.
• Coordinates care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, efficient, patient-centered care.
• Collaborates with health professionals to determine healthcare needs and communicates with patients and families.
• Educates patients and families about discharge and community resources and prepares educational materials.
• Maintains annual mandatory education and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, colleagues and the hospital and pursues professional growth.
