Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Hellertown, PA, invites an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a part-time days schedule. The role provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

You will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, coordinate patient and family education, utilize technology in care delivery, and contribute to quality and safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Pennsylvania.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Ability to organize and prioritize patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for designated patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Synthesize clinical data to support evidence-based practice and safety.
• Lead and mentor new colleagues and interns; precepting as assigned.
• Provide patient and family education throughout care.
• Utilize technology to deliver care and support care coordination.
