Boston Medical Center (BMC) is actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The role supports a patient-centered care model in a Magnet-recognized organization and emphasizes high-quality, equitable care across shifts.

The position offers a 36-hour schedule (7p-7a) with rotating weekends, in a fast-paced ED that serves over 65,000 patients annually and functions as a Level III Trauma Center. Strong teamwork and commitment to professional development are valued.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• ED experience preferred.
• Nursing degree (diploma, ASN or BSN); BSN within 4 years required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health care team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret data.
• Follow BMC nursing policies and guidelines; support quality improvement projects.
