Job summary

WVU Medicine’s Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver professional nursing care in an inpatient setting. The role emphasizes applying nursing process, independent judgment, and evidence-based practice with a commitment to safe, quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include revising care plans, educating families, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to uphold high standards of care in a dynamic environment. 36 hours weekly, on-site in Uniontown, PA.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state where services will be provided or multi-state RN license through eNLC.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient’s plan of care based on data collection and patient’s individual needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members and healthcare consumers.
• Influences policy to promote safe patient care.
• Utilizes resources in providing care, especially in sensitive situations.
• Participates in developing strategies to promote healthy communities and practice environments.
• Supports nursing quality improvements through evaluation and education.
