Job summary

Novant Health Matthews Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Department registered nurse for a full-time role. You’ll join a fast-paced ED with a diverse patient mix and a clear pathway to permanent employment within the department.

Initial assignment offers a premium flat hourly rate and opportunities for professional growth. Requirements include a BSN preferred or equivalent, NC RN license, and at least two years of ED experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of ED experience
• Active RN license in NC
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment
• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care team
• Administer medications and treatments per standards
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
