Priority Dispatch Corp. seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for West Ascension Hospital in Donaldsonville, LA.

The RN provides comprehensive care for urgent, emergent, and critical conditions, including triage, assessment, stabilization, and coordination of patient care in a designated Critical Access Hospital. The role requires RN licensure in Louisiana, BSN preferred, and ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications (or obtained within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications required or obtained within 6 months.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and initial patient assessment in the ED.
• Provide nursing care for patients with emergency and trauma conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions as ordered.
• Operate monitoring equipment and assist with codes and rapid responses.
• Document assessments and care in the EMR (AthenaHealth or other).
• Coordinate with EMS and transfer patients as needed.
