Job summary

South Shore Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, outcome oriented nursing care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and document care in alignment with hospital policies, with required night and weekend coverage and holiday work as part of a 4-week schedule.

You will administer medications, participate in discharge planning and family-centered care, and promote safety and compliance across the unit.

Qualifications

• RN must be licensed to practice in MA.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Familiarity with nursing process and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Manage individualized, outcome oriented nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications, complete documentation and reconcile as per policy.
• Develop, implement, and update plan of care for each patient; communicate with family.
• Assess patient pain, comfort, and response to interventions; document in chart.
• Support discharge planning and transfer coordination to ensure timely discharge.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and privacy policies.
• Coordinate with care team to ensure patient/family centered care.
• Provide ongoing professional development and adhere to MA Nurse Practice Act.
