Job summary

West Penn Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. This 23‑bed unit requires leadership in a fast‑paced setting and coordination with an integrated care team to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Minimum qualifications include PA RN licensure (or eNLC) with Emergency Nursing Certification preferred and 1+ year hospital RN experience. AHN emphasizes safety, education, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or an active multi-state license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Certification in Emergency Nursing is preferred for this ED role.
• At least 1 year or more of hospital RN experience beyond orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Collaborates with team to support patient care and safety.
• Assigns tasks based on patient needs and staff roles.
• Maintains a safe environment and monitors patient condition changes.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and quality improvement.
• Participates in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate care and health services.
