Job summary

The Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, using clinical judgment to diagnose and treat health problems. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, with discharge planning and coordination with other disciplines.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS or equivalent, and a graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required or in process
• BLS/ACLS/PALS or equivalent required
• NIH Stroke Scale; pediatric course within six months preferred

Responsibilities

• Assessment: multi-system evaluation, discharge planning and coordination
• Planning: develop individualized care plans and coordinate care
• Implementation: initiate protocol-based care, document accurately, respond to emergencies
• Evaluation: assess outcomes and participate in quality assurance activities
