Job summary

Freeman Health System in South Dakota seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will coordinate all nursing activities and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The position requires an active RN license (work state or compact) and completion of mandatory FEMA NIMS, ACLS, BLS and other certifications within specified timelines to maintain competency and quality

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the nurse's work state or a compact state license.
• FEMA NIMS courses within 90 days of hire: IS-00100.c, IS-100, IS-00700.b.
• If no RN/LPN hospital experience in past 5 years, pass Patient Care Orientation within 30 days.
• ACLS within 180 days; BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days; PALS within 365 days.
• ASLS - Advanced Stroke Life Support within 180 days; Stroke CEU hours 4 per year by transcript due date.
• CPI - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training within 180 days; TNCC within 365 days.
• RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date; Trauma CEU Hours 8 per year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct, coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes.
