Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Lansing, MI seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care in the Emergency Department, following hospital policies, nursing process, standards of care, and standards of practice.

The role includes patient assessment, planning and implementing the plan of care, and supervising ancillary staff. Requires MI RN license, BLS; ACLS within timeframes; weekend availability; full-time schedule with 7AM-7PM shifts and 72 hours every two weeks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan RN license.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification as Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS required within six months for Emergency/Critical Care related units; PALS/NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess each patient, document and evaluate response to plan of care, and take corrective action.
• Plan and implement the patient’s plan of care and provide patient teaching.
• Oversee all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
