Job summary

South Shore Health's SSH Emergency Department in Weymouth, MA, seeks an experienced registered nurse for a full-time position. Shifts include 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends and holidays; 36 budgeted hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• RN - Registered Nurse with MA licensure required.
• ACLS/BLS certifications may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, deliver, and document care.
• Develop and update an individualized plan of care and communicate outcomes.
• Perform medication administration according to SSH policy, including reconciliation and documentation.
• Ensure patient safety with two identifiers, time-out, and adherence to universal precautions.
• Promote patient/family centered care and clear communication of day plans each shift.
• Support discharge planning and transfer by addressing barriers and coordinating with team.
• Demonstrate professional development and ongoing education as part of practice.
• Utilize technology and adhere to downtime procedures and SSH systems.
