Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Registered Nurse in Oregon to support emergency department care. The role involves using clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for patients as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse license required.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients using multi-system evaluation and plan individualized care.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and patient education with the care team.
  • Document care in the EMR and follow physician plans of care.
  • Evaluate patient responses and participate in unit quality assurance activities.
