Job summary

UCHealth's Poudre Valley Hospital ER in Fort Collins seeks an experienced Emergency Registered Nurse. This PRN, nights position delivers high-acuity, compassionate care in a fast-paced ED and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, wound/trauma management, and coordination with physicians. Requires RN licensure with CPR, ACLS, and PALS as body of evidence grows; onsite only.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• ACLS and PALS certifications to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and EMS for safe, coordinated care.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire. Advanced CPI, TNCC/ATCN, and ENPC within one year of hire.

• PALS Certification
• Trauma Nurse Core Course
• BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

• Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including level 1 trauma designation
