The RN Emergency Dept/Critical Care Float assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting and critical care areas as determined based on experience, skill and competency The RN Emergency Dept/Critical Care Float must be prepared at all times to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other life sustaining measures for the patients under their care.
