Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing services to hospitalized patients and guide them toward optimal health and recovery.

You will assess patient needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor conditions, while collaborating with physicians to create comprehensive plans and preparing families for discharge to home or another setting if needed.

Qualifications

• Current WA State RN license is required.
• 1+ year(s) of recent RN experience with acute care patients.
• CPR certification required every two years or as specified by the employer.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, skilled nursing services to patients requiring hospitalization, guiding them toward optimal health and functional recovery.

Every day you will assess patient needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and continuously monitor patient conditions. You will collaborate seamlessly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, always preparing patients and their families for a successful discharge, whether to home or to another setting for continued care.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for every individual.

Job Requirements

Required

• Current WA State RN license
• One (1) or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients
• CPR certification is required every two (2) years or as specified by the work
• Other certifications may be required for specialty areas
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing

Preferred

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
