Job summary

Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL seeks an experienced ED Director to lead the Emergency Department. You will plan, organize, direct and evaluate ED activities, supervise staff, and partner with hospital leaders to improve patient care and outcomes.

The role requires an active IL RN license, BLS/ACLS/TNCC/PALS certifications, and 5+ years of nursing experience with supervisory exposure. This is an on-site leadership position with broad responsibilities across departments.

Qualifications

Current IL RN license required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
De-escalation training required within 6 months of hire.
TNCC certification required within 1 year.
PALS certification required within 1 year.
Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years of experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Directs, plans, and coordinates the daily activities of the ED to ensure quality patient care.
Supervises ED staff orientation, training and in-services.
Collaborates with hospital leadership to align clinical outcomes with best practices.
Monitors department workload and staffing to meet patient care needs.
Ensures equipment and supplies are available for efficient ED operations.
Meets with CNO and ED Medical Director to review readiness and protocols.
Leads performance improvement initiatives in the ED.
