Job summary

UPMC Horizon in Farrell, PA is seeking a Clinician or Clinician Fellow to join the Emergency Department team. The role emphasizes leadership of clinical nursing practice and mentoring other nurses with leadership support.

Responsibilities include applying Relationship Based Care, using the nursing process to meet patients’ needs, leading quality improvement efforts, and developing staff through mentoring and precepting student nurses and new hires.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of the facility or a multistate license per the NLC.
• BSN preferred; MSN or CNL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads clinical nursing practice and mentors other nurses with leadership support.
• Applies Relationship Based Care and uses the nursing process to address patient and family needs.
• Demonstrates performance improvement knowledge and helps integrate research into daily practice.
• Develops productive relationships, mentors staff, and coaches colleagues on diversity and healthy work practices.
• Actively participates as a preceptor for student nurses, nurse interns, and new hires.
