Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA, is seeking an Emergency Department Clerical Coordinator for a day shift (11:00am–7:30pm) with weekend/holiday rotation. You will perform patient interviews, registration, data entry and transcription of orders in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma with Medical Terminology training, Meditech experience, and at least one year of related work. Vaccination per policy is required; competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of high school with specialized courses.
• Completion and passing of the Medical Terminology course is required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the Meditech system are preferred.
• Minimum of one year related work experience is required.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption with signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support.
• Register patients, handle data/order entry and transcription of orders.
• Collate medical records and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
