Job summary

CDR Emergency Management Inc. is seeking debris monitors for deployment across counties along the Florida panhandle in support of Hurricane Isaias operations. Roles include field, tower, and waterway monitoring to ensure debris removal adheres to FEMA PA requirements.

Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome, with local familiarity valued. Pay is $20.00 per hour with positions in remote Florida areas, including on-water duties for waterway monitors and lengthy shifts up to 12 hours.

Qualifications

• High school education, GED or equivalent.
• Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check.
• Hold and present a valid driver’s license, social security card, and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must be able to mobilize within 24-48 hours and commit to a minimum 30-day assignment in remote locations.
• Ability to work 10-12 hour days with overtime where applicable.
• Must provide heavy-duty boots and long pants (steel-toed boots preferred).

Responsibilities

• Observe and document debris operations per FEMA PA Program and supervisor directions.
• Ensure safety and MOT compliance at work sites.
• Maintain Load Tickets, Daily Reports of Activities, Incident Reports, and Logs.
• Certify debris hauler capacities and locations daily.
• Monitor Work Zone Traffic Control and MOT setups; ensure proper debris classification and segregation at dumps.
