Job summary

VEG is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team in New York. You will triage, treat, and monitor a wide range of emergencies, working closely with doctors to deliver gold-standard care.

Team collaboration and compassionate communication with pet parents are essential. The role demands a CVT/RVT/LVT credential, 1+ year in veterinary tech, and comfort with high-stress, fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) in the practice state is required; VTS in ECC or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triage and provide nursing care, treatments, and monitoring in emergencies.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing under doctors’ supervision.
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care and communicate clearly with team and pet parents.
• Perform CPR and other emergency procedures as trained and required.
• Support and train teammates to maintain efficient care flow.
