Job summary

Primepoint, LLC is seeking a Public Safety Telecommunications Officer to receive and respond to emergency requests and dispatch units as needed. The role requires handling video and radio communications in high-stress situations and maintaining accurate records.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, and NJ certifications (Telecommunicator, EMD, CPR). Residency in New Jersey is required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience handling video display and/or radio messages, and in receiving, relaying and recording emergency requests.
• Bachelor's in Psychology with public-facing stress experience will be considered.
• Must pass a comprehensive criminal history and background investigation.
• Current NJ certifications: Basic Telecommunicator, EMD, and CPR.
• Familiarity with QED CAD and Verizon Vesta E911 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to emergency requests and dispatch appropriate units.
• Handle video/radio messages and relay information accurately.
• Maintain records and ensure proper documentation of emergencies.
• Meet residency requirements under NJ First Act and comply with pay transparency law.
