Job summary

Vituity is seeking an Emergency Medicine Clinical Care Coordinator at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. You will help facilitate patient flow, coordinate referrals and service authorizations, assist with check-in/check-out, and support nursing staff to ensure timely, quality care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, EMR experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and knowledge of HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pre-med or nursing courses preferred; upper division Anatomy or Physiology is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient department flow and patient check-in/check-out.
• Coordinate referrals and service authorizations.
• Assist with patient transport, rooming, and communication with nursing staff.
• Call labs and radiology to obtain results and notify RN of bed assignments.
