The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a part-time Emergency Assistance Specialist to support Cincinnati service locations. This position focuses on assessing basic needs and delivering aid to low-income individuals and families.
You will provide food and financial assistance, vouchers for in-kind items, and food delivery; link participants to stabilization services; and register for camp and seasonal programs, working with the Corps Officer to advance the mission.
Reports to: Corps Officer and Emergency Assistance Program Manager/Director
Supervises: N/A
Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Part Time
Function: This position is responsible for Emergency Assistance Services at the Cincinnati Service Locations or other needed locations. Services performed include assessing the basic needs of low‑income individuals and families, providing assistance in the form of food, financial assistance, vouchers for in‑kind items such as clothing and furniture, food delivery, and linking participants to services that will help stabilize their crisis. The position will conduct registration for camp and all seasonal programs, and works in harmony with the Corps Officer to carry out The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
