Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for the Emergency Department. The role centers on 12-hour day shifts with some night rotation, integrating into a physician-led team to deliver comprehensive urgent care.

You will obtain histories, perform exams, order tests, develop treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning, while providing patient education and ensuring continuity of care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Under supervision of a physician, performs medical services and develops treatment plans.
• Executes medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to provide continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Examines patient, records history, and performs preliminary diagnoses.
• Assists with surgical procedures and performs first assistant duties.
• Conducts daily hospital rounds and writes orders/progress notes.
• Performs admission histories and physicals and orders tests as needed.
• Develops and implements patient care plans and discharge summaries.
• Provides patient education and counsels on health maintenance.
