Zusammenfassung

The City of Naperville Police Department seeks full-time 911 Telecommunicators to work in our Emergency Communications Center, receiving and evaluating 911 and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire, EMS and other assistance. You will triage and prioritize life-safety requests, provide safety instructions, and dispatch appropriate responses in a 24/7 environment.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma, 1+ year public-facing experience, and prefer CAD familiarity; an associate’s degree is

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a job affording contact with the public.
• Ability to stay calm and exercise sound judgement in high-stress situations.
• CAD experience and associate's degree preferred.

Aufgaben

• Triage and prioritize 911 and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire, EMS and other assistance.
• Dispatch and coordinate responses to high-risk, high-stress operations.
• Enter and maintain warrants and hot files in state/federal law enforcement databases.
• Monitor alarms and ancillary systems and perform general support duties.
