Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Placement Student for EMEA Supplier Quality in the UK, Darlington. The role supports quality program delivery, engages with suppliers and internal teams, and applies data tools to monitor progress.

Candidates should be studying Engineering, Supply Chain or PM and be prepared for onsite work with some travel or relocation. The program runs as a 12-month placement commencing Summer 2027, requiring 3 days on-site weekly and collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management or equivalent.
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills required.
• Familiarity with supplier quality processes and document control.

Responsibilities

• Support Supplier Quality leads with prototype and production quality expectations.
• Build relationships within the project Core Team and assess manufacturability with external suppliers.
• Assist Value Package Introduction program to source suppliers meeting quality and cost targets.
• Collaborate with Category-focused SQE resources to resolve external quality issues.
• Lead or support root-cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
• Apply PowerBI to inform management and stakeholders on project status.
