Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, seeks an EMCS Manager & SCADA Compliance Engineer to lead EMCS/SCADA networks, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with Facilities Operations, IT, and cybersecurity teams.

You will oversee design reviews, upgrades, and maintenance of energy management systems across lab facilities, drive RCM practices, and mentor engineers while interfacing with NASA policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 9+ years of related experience; or Master’s with 7+ years; or PhD with 5 years.
• Tridium/Niagara Certified (N4 TCP) required.
• Experience with Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and energy management.
• Expertise with Tridium/Niagara, Siemens, and Distech systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/EMCS principles and SCADA in OT/ICS environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide EMCS technical oversight, design reviews, and project support for EMCS networks and metering.
• Lead SCADA/OT integration, firmware updates, and security patch management across application servers and JACE controllers.
• Develop, enforce, and update SOOs and EMCS design guidelines; mentor staff and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Serve as liaison with NASA HQ and IT/cybersecurity for SSPs and compliance.
