Job summary

Intertek, a leading quality and safety solutions provider, seeks an Associate Engineer (2nd Shift) to join the Electrical team in Lexington, Kentucky focusing on EMC testing. You will set up instruments, run tests, and report results under supervision, with travel up to 5%.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering associate degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in related work, and are prepared for 2nd shift Monday–Friday 4:00pm–1:00am.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to work Full Time, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 4:00pm until 1:00am.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Safety-conscious and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on and off site evaluation of products for compliance with applicable standard(s).
• Read and apply national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test).
• Set up and operate EUT; perform simple repairs as needed.
• Document test results and compile final reports using established report shell.
• Communicate project status and test results to client, sales personnel, and management.
