Job description

NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology—and amazing people. Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.

We are seeking a highly motivated EMC Engineer (Electromagnetic Compatibility) to drive the regulatory compliance design, validation, and laboratory testing of our next-generation automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and robotic platforms. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams from early concept through production to deliver fully compliant, high-performance hardware.

What you’ll be doing
  • Implement system-level circuit design for EMI mitigation, and define requirements for schematic design, layout, EMI filtering, cable interfaces, shielding, and grounding.
  • Collaborate with PCB layout and mechanical teams to apply electromagnetic theory to board and chassis/enclosure designs.
  • Plan, set up, and complete radiated and conducted emissions and immunity testing in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Lead fixing and debugging efforts to resolve complex analog/digital emissions and immunity failures.
  • Work alongside wireless, firmware, and power electronics teams to ensure overall systems meet performance and time-to-market goals. Provide technical engineering support to major customers to resolve field integration issues and ensure overall system compliance.
  • Generate comprehensive test plans, matrix compliance trackers, test reports, and regulatory certifications.
What we need to see
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent experience with evident exceptional ability.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in automotive electronic product design, debugging, and EMC validation for mass production.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, automotive Ethernet, and USB.
  • Deep familiarity with automotive and robotic EMC standards, including: Emissions: CISPR 25, CISPR 12, SAE J551 and Immunity & Transients: ISO 11452, ISO 7637, SAE J111
  • Basic proficiency or exposure to electromagnetic CAD simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST Studio Suite, FEKO, or SPICE) to optimize hardware virtually.
  • Hands-on experience with PCBA modifications, wiring harness assembly, and laboratory test instruments (receivers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes).

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience evaluating robotics applications, industrial automation, or automated material handling systems for complex factory environments is a plus!
  • Familiarity with regional and global wireless/regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE/RED, ISED) for connected automotive or robotic products.
  • Working knowledge or understanding of ISO-17025 laboratory accreditation standards.
