Fertility & Surgical Associates (FSAC) in Thousand Oaks, CA, seeks a detail-oriented Embryologist to join our IVF lab team on a full-time basis. You will identify and move oocytes, assess embryos daily, and assist with catheter handling under physician supervision.

The role requires a biology degree with supervisory certification or advanced degrees, precision under pressure, and proficiency with MS Office. Weekend coverage is rotating, with consistent Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Biological Sciences with Technical Supervisor (ABB) certification.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Biological Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Identify and move oocytes in follicular fluid using a dissecting microscope.
• Assess patient embryos daily with an inverted microscope.
• Load embryos into a catheter and assist with handling and positioning.
• Perform zona ablation on oocytes and embryos using laser technology.
• Execute freezing and thawing processes for surplus oocytes and embryos; monitor liquid nitrogen storage.
• Label and prepare culture dishes with sterile technique for next-day procedures.
• Stock supplies, perform quality control, and maintain lab equipment.

Weekend coverage occurs approximately twice per month, with shifts generally beginning around 7:00 a.m. depending on procedure times.
