Job summary

Acushnet Company is seeking an Embroidery Machine Millwright to join our team in Massachusetts. The role covers assembling, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing embroidery machines and related production equipment in our custom operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support new machinery installation and startup. Occasional vehicle deliveries via a Sprinter Van are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial machine maintenance experience with certification (TPC) and embroidery machines; Barudan/Melco experience preferred.
  • 3+ years embroidery equipment maintenance with technical certificate or associate degree; or 7+ years in industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair embroidery machines and related equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose equipment issues to improve reliability.
  • Assist with installation, startup, and debugging of new machinery.
  • Assist with occasional deliveries with company Sprinter Van.

What You Will Be Doing

Join our team and play a critical role in keeping our custom production operations running at peak performance. As an Embroidery Machine Millwright, you will assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair embroidery machines and other production equipment within our custom operations environment. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, and supporting the installation, startup, and debugging of new machinery. You will also assist with occasional deliveries to subcontractors using a company-owned Sprinter Van. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically skilled, and driven to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and production success.

What You Bring
  • Maintain work orders, preventive maintenance records, and parts transactions in a computerized maintenance system.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial machine maintenance experience with TPC certification, preferably including Barudan, Melco, or other embroidery/stitching machines; or
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in a mechanical discipline with 3+ years of embroidery equipment maintenance experience; or
  • 7+ years of skilled trade experience in an industrial environment.
  • Provide and maintain own trade tools.
  • Successfully complete the Machine Millwright skills assessment and multi-plant interview process.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair embroidery machinery and related equipment.
  • Inspect equipment to identify mechanical issues, irregularities, and malfunctions.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic controls and machine systems.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of embroidery machine operation and maintenance.

Pay Range: $29.90-$37.25
