Job summary

You’ll formulate problems, design experiments, train models on large datasets, and collaborate with perception, planning, and systems teams. This hybrid on-site internship requires PhD pursuit and offers mentorship and access to cutting-edge data and potential publications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing PhD in ML/AI, CS, robotics or related field.
• Strong understanding of modern ML and DL methods.
• Experience with Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Demonstrated AI/ML research through coursework, projects, publications, or equivalents.
• Excellent problem-solving and experimental design skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate research problems and develop prototypes for autonomous driving.
• Design and run experiments, ablation studies, and quantitative evaluations.
• Train and benchmark models on large-scale datasets with distributed compute.
• Analyze model behavior, failure cases, generalization, and performance tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with perception, planning, robotics, controls, and systems teams.
• Publish findings or contribute to open-source work where appropriate.
