Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Wireless Systems Integration Engineer to drive integration of wireless chipsets, optimize mesh and IoT networking, and collaborate with chipset partners on Wi‑Fi 7 developments.

You will help develop drivers, firmware, RF calibration software, and perform wireless performance testing. The role requires a BS in CS/EE, 2+ years in wireless driver development, strong C/C++, and hands‑on experience with Wi‑Fi protocols and debugging tools such as

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in wireless driver development in Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, or Thread technologies.
Proficiency in C or C++ programming.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting Wi‑Fi issues with wireless debugging tools (Tcpdump, Wireshark, iPerf).
Solid understanding of wireless protocols including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
Familiarity with advanced wireless protocols such as 802.11be, 802.11ad/ay, and Bluetooth/BLE.

Responsibilities

Participate in evaluation and selection of wireless chipsets; assist with bring‑up tasks and adaptation for designated chipsets.
Support integration framework for combining different wireless chipsets.
Assist in integration, development, and optimization of new Wi‑Fi chipsets, OS, drivers, and firmware for reliable performance.
Stay updated on wireless standards to help develop certification software for compliance.
Contribute to design and implementation of wireless and Mesh‑related functionalities with high‑quality documentation.
Develop software for RF calibration to ensure precise wireless performance.
Participate in code reviews to maintain coding standards.
Help design self-testing standards for wireless modules and address quality issues during development.
Track and resolve connectivity, stability, and performance issues using debugging tools; collaborate with vendors as needed.
Oversee software release process and collaborate with on‑site factory teams; provide on‑site support as needed.
Address customer, market, and factory feedback to improve product performance and user satisfaction.
Conduct competitive analysis and monitor industry trends to inform product strategy.
