Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products that help keep people safe. We are currently seeking a Software Engineering Intern for a 2027 Summer Internship. The selected candidate will assist engineers in the planning and development of embedded software solutions and assist in the implementation of the completed designs.

This position works in a team environment at our home office in Newburgh, IN. This is not a remote position. This is a paid internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/CE.
• Experience with C/C++, Python, Bash, or Embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with embedded systems protocols SPI/I2C/CAN and USB/UART.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of embedded software solutions.
• Document application requirements and specifications.
• Lab and field testing.
• Document test results.
