Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Herndon, VA invites students pursuing computer science or engineering to join as an Intern, Software Engineering. You will apply CS concepts to develop software for embedded real-time systems, collaborate with hardware and software teams, and participate in all lifecycle phases from requirements to testing.

You'll work with languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, and HTML5 across Windows, Linux, and embedded RTOS environments like VxWorks and QNX.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in CS/Engineering or related field at an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Apply CS, engineering and mathematical analysis concepts to software development for the target application.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design interfaces between hardware and software and optimize system performance.
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle for embedded real-time control software.
• Develop software test procedures, programs and related documentation.
• Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews and help identify and repair defects.
