Sperry Rail, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical & Software Systems Engineer to join our HQ in Shelton, CT. You will bridge hardware and software, interfacing with sensors, data acquisition, and analysis software to turn raw measurements into actionable insights.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical and sensor systems, developing software for data visualization, and collaborating with engineers to deliver testable, robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3–7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Experience developing applications for data visualization, analysis, or test automation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues.

Responsibilities

• Interface with electrical systems, sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition hardware.
• Develop software tools to acquire, process, display, and analyze sensor data.
• Create visualization interfaces, dashboards, plots, and reporting tools for engineering analysis.
• Troubleshoot issues across the hardware/software boundary.
• Document interfaces, software functionality, test procedures, and troubleshooting methods.
