Job summary

Freeform is looking for a Software Engineer (Embedded) to develop and contribute to critical embedded software systems for our advanced metal 3D printing factories. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic environment focused on innovation and will be responsible for software solutions that automate production processes.

The role requires full-time onsite presence in Los Angeles, California. Candidates should have extensive experience with C/C++ and real-time embedded systems, working collaboratively to drive the pace of innovation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development using C/C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience in real-time embedded system design with Linux OS.
• Experience in object-oriented programming and design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the architecture of state-of-the-art software for metal 3D printing.
• Design and develop the machine instruction interface to the hardware.
• Develop software for computer vision and sensor data monitoring.
• Work with engineers to integrate control algorithms.
• Create software for collection and analysis of process data.
