Job summary

Ubitium GmbH is seeking an Embedded Systems Software Engineer to develop a bare-metal HAL for a RISC-V SoC and to port firmware, RTOSes, and bootloaders. You will contribute to BSP development with OpenEmbedded/Yocto and prepare test/benchmark applications.

The role emphasizes strong C skills, embedded/bare-metal expertise, and enthusiasm for hardware debugging; relocation is required with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Solid C skills and experience in embedded/bare-metal and RTOS development
• Exposure to bootloaders or RTOS is welcome
• Hardware debugging experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Relocation required

Responsibilities

• Develop a bare-metal Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for our RISC-V SoC
• Port and maintain firmware including OpenSBI
• Port operating systems (Linux, Zephyr) and the bootloader
• Develop a BSP (OpenEmbedded/Yocto) and port applications for testing and benchmarking (SPEC CPU)
