  • Circuit board level design of simultaneously sampled remote analog data acquisition equipment.
  • Design of long distance fiber optic telemetry systems.
  • Support system architecture, subsystem trade studies, and design decisions across hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test disciplines.
  • Plan, execute, and document verification and validation activities, including engineering tests, qualification tests, acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, interface control documents, schematics, test procedures, test reports, design analyses, build documentation, and lifecycle support artifacts.
  • Support design reviews, production readiness reviews, failure investigations, corrective actions, and technical risk reduction activities.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program teams to transition designs from prototype through production and field support.
  • Contribute to configuration management, change control, design release, and product baseline maintenance for hardware, firmware, and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, verification planning, and objective quality evidence (OQE) generation.
  • Experience with design, prototype, production and test of multi-layer printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
  • Experience with FPGAs, MCUs and Hardware Description Languages (VHDL, Verilog).
  • Experience with Python, Bash, MATLAB, SPICE, C/C++.
  • Functional literacy of Linux operating systems and ability to use basic command-line tools.
  • Ability to apply basic software engineering practices to firmware & software development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex integrated systems across electronics, firmware, software, sensors, telemetry, power, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Experience producing complete and accurate engineering documentation, including designs, procedures, analyses, and test results, suitable for design reviews, manufacturing, quality, program execution, and long-term sustainment.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively towards defined objectives within a multidisciplinary geographically diverse team.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Altium Designer.
  • Experience with Xilinx Zynq FPGAs and Vivado IDE.
  • Experience with cross-platform compiling C/C++ for ARM systems.
  • Experience with Microchip PIC32 & PIC24, STMicroelectronics STM32.
  • Experience with UUVs, deployed subsea systems, and underwater payloads.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality-focused engineering processes.
