Job summary

Belcan is seeking engineers for a Product Line Display Software and Touch Screen Software project in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role involves participating in daily team meetings, developing and validating test artifacts, and collaborating across on-site and remote teams to run tests on hardware in our labs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in verification, strong embedded C++ skills, and familiarity with DO-178C DAL A/B requirements-based verification. A STEM degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in verification and embedded software.
• Experience with DO-178C DAL A/B.
• Embedded C++ development experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily team meetings and collaboration with requirement, test environment, and reviewers to develop, run, review, and approve test artifacts.
• Develop test cases and test procedures.
• Work on-site and with distributed teams (e.g., GETCI in India) to execute and debug tests on hardware in lab environments.

2. Touch Screen Software

Each day starts with a daily team meeting. We are also working Saturdays as of now, until we can get back on course. Each engineer is assigned scope (such as writing test cases and test procedures). Daily work would involve collaborating with the people familiar with the requirements, test environment, and reviewers to get test artifacts developed, run, reviewed, and approved. This may involve working with engineers both on site and virtually (such as our GETCI team in India). It also involves executing and debugging tests running on hardware in our labs.

Required skills/experience (5+ years)

• DO-178C DAL A or B Requirements-Based Verification Experience
• Low-Level Software Integration and Verification Experience, including unit testing
• Embedded C++ Experience

Additional Preferred skills/experience

• DO-178C DAL A or B Requirements Development Experience
• STEM degree is preferred, would entertain candidates without IF they have required skills noted above
