Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II in the Dallas, TX area to join the Space and Air Center software team. You will design, implement, test, and integrate real-time software for surveillance sensor RF solutions, contributing to mission-critical defense systems.

Onsite in the Dallas area with opportunities to collaborate across centers. Candidates should have a Master’s in STEM and hands-on experience with C++, Python or similar languages, and a strong background in real-time

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.
• Experience in computer scripting languages such as Python/Shell/Perl.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
• Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
