Socket.dev is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer - Kernel to join the Software Engineering team in Portland, OR. You will design, develop, and maintain low-level C/C++ software for video processing across Linux, Nvidia platforms, and custom hardware.
You will collaborate with Customer Support, Sales, and customers to gather requirements, build drivers, and optimize build and deployment workflows using Yocto, Linux kernels, and related tools.

The Embedded Software Engineer on our Kernel team will collaborate with Software Engineering, Customer Support, and Sales to develop and maintain low-level software. This role works across the Linux kernel, new hardware bring-up, encoder/decoder, networking and software libraries to support new capabilities, software releases, and customer needs.
