The role is listed in South San Francisco and Austin.Firmware is the kernel of operation for the implant, and this team determines and builds the features that decide what the device can do. You will contribute bare-metal firmware in C, work with chip designers, electrical engineers and algorithms engineers on a small agile team, and help with improvements that reduce latency and increase battery life, reliability and safety, all inside tight power, radio and thermal constraints.Pay: a California hourly flat rate of $35. Interns get medical, dental and vision coverage, paid holidays, commuter benefits and meals; equity, 401(k), parental leave and flexible time off are for full-time employees.Who it is for: this is pitched at experienced, hands-on engineers. Neuralink requires two or more years of embedded systems experience, proficiency in C, C++ and Python, knowledge of MCU architectures and toolchains, comfort reading schematics and datasheets, strong EE and DSP fundamentals, and hardware and software debugging with lab equipment. ARM cores, safety-critical systems, FPGA, RF and BLE stacks, and embedded security are all preferred.
