Job summary

MAHLE in Lockport, NY is seeking an entry-level intern to join the North American Electrical Engineering Organization. You will create and co-develop embedded software and in-house tools, support GUI development on embedded Linux touch screens and PCs, and perform thorough debugging and documentation of software activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and hands-on project work across various stages from acquisition to series production.

Your Contribution

This position is within the MAHLE North American Electrical Engineering Organization. The group is responsible for the interface between the customer and the electrical component suppliers from Acquisition to Series Production

This role is responsible to:

• Create / co-develop embedded software andin-house software tools
• Support development of GUI programs on embedded LINUX touch screens as well on PC depending on project needs
• Debug software
• Test software
• Document software related activities
• Specific items will be dependent on active project needs.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelors of Engineering
  Computer Engineering (leaning towards software), Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Skills (i.e., CAD):
• C programming
• Embedded programming
• MatLab/Simulink
• GUI Programming
• Git
• Control theory
• Previous internship not necessary but a plus
• Extra-curricular engineering clubs or hobbies are a plus
