Job summary

RFA Engineering in the United States seeks an Embedded Software Engineer II to join our engineering team at a world-class facility. You will develop embedded software for mining, robotics, automation, and machine control applications, from design through deployment.

Work closely with systems, software, validation, and global teams; participate in agile processes, perform testing, troubleshooting, and optimization, and contribute to continuous improvement of embedded controllers and networks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, EE or related field.
2-4 years software development experience.
Strong C/C++ and Python programming.
Experience in embedded or real-time control systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Design and implement embedded software for devices from requirements through production deployment.
Develop embedded software features using C++, Python, and modern software development practices.
Participate in software architecture, design reviews, requirements decomposition, and system integration activities.
Support software validation, testing, and verification throughout the development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot software and system issues and implement corrective actions.
Develop and execute test cases to perform unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
Travel to customer or supplier locations as needed (up to ~25%).
