Job summary
Falcata is seeking a Software Engineer II in Plymouth, MA to support the Commercial Product Cell onsite. The role focuses on understanding the product line and communicating technical concepts to customers, while contributing to embedded software development for RF sensor products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, experience with C/C++, Linux-based development, and network communications.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of embedded software development experience.
- Experience with Linux-based embedded development and networking.
- Strong C/C++ skills, concurrency and performance optimization.
- Git, CI/CD workflows and modern software practices.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software for RF sensor products.
- Architect and implement real-time C/C++ on embedded platforms.
- Lead integration, prototyping, deployment and evaluation activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software/hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and priorities.
- Assist with hardware/software integration, debugging, and optimization.
- Create technical documentation and customer deliverables.
