Job summary

Stryke Intelligence LLC is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software for diverse hardware platforms. You will work with C, Python, and Go, interfacing embedded devices with cloud services like AWS or Azure, and ensuring performance, security, and reliability in real-time environments.

Responsibilities cover API design, version control, Agile processes, and thorough testing on Linux and other systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven embedded software development experience in C or Python.
  • Familiar with x86/x64 assembly and Linux.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Eligible for Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test embedded software for various hardware platforms using foundational program languages such as C, Python and Go.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and translate them into efficient code that meets project specifications.
  • Implement and maintain APIs and RESTful services to enable seamless communication between embedded devices and cloud services like AWS or Azure.
  • Optimize software for performance, power consumption, and security in real-time environments.
  • Integrate hardware components with software solutions, ensuring compatibility with IT infrastructure standards.
  • Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, or Git to manage code repositories effectively.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging across Linux-based systems and other operating environments to guarantee robustness.
  • Document technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and user manuals for future reference and compliance purposes.
Requirements
  • Eligible to obtain Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in software development for embedded systems using C or Python and familiar with x86/x64 assembly.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Linux operating systems, SQL databases (MySQL), and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience working with APIs in various applications.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems such as GitHub or SVN for collaborative development.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies to manage project workflows efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to articulate technical ideas clearly.
Preferred
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience debugging embedded systems.
  • Experience with ARM / MIPS / PPC assembly languages.
  • Experience with RF Communications systems.
  • Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures.
