Job summary

Amazon seeks an Embedded Software Development Engineer for Flight Computer Software in Redmond, WA. You will develop embedded software in C++/Rust and interface with hardware using I2C, SPI, CAN and UART to support satellite avionics.

You will join a team tackling power management, telemetry, and autonomous control, contributing across the software lifecycle from requirements through implementation and test to operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

About the team
Our team tackles many critical satellite functions including power management, hardware interfaces, command & telemetry, and autonomous control. We are looking for an outstanding software engineer to participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations.
